Ljunghusens is one of few genuine links courses in Sweden. Built on a foundation of sand, the course is situated in a nature reserve and borders on an area of protected marshland. Several of the holes are just a few metres from the white sandy beaches of the Baltic coast. Ljunghusens has hosted both national and international competitions and is judged to be one of Sweden's most difficult golf courses.
