Thorpeness Golf Club

Thorpeness Golf Club

Set amongst the Suffolk coastal heathland, Thorpeness Golf Course offers a tough challenge for all levels of player. Designed by James Braid in 1922, this Suffolk golf course winds through silver birch, pine trees, gorse and heather and was described by the Sunday Telegraph Golfing Guide as "Reminiscent of the inland glories of Sunningdale and Woodhall Spa". Be sure to look out for the abundance of flora and fauna as you play your round. Thorpeness boasts rare species of orchids and mushrooms and taking a walk over the footpaths covering the course offer an ideal opportunity to spot the resident hedgehogs, adders, rabbits and bats, plus the Whitetail Fish Eagle and Marsh Harrier have all been known to visit!
