Fontainebleau Golf Club

Fontainebleau Golf Club

Inaugurated in 1909, the Fontainebleau golf course is one of the oldest in France. The golf course designed by Tom Simpson and improved by Frederic George Hawtree and his son Martin, is located in the Fontainebleau forest, near the town, on the ancient imperial hunting ground. Its narrow fairways are bordered with various species of trees such as pines silver birches, wild cherries, beeches and centenary oaks. It is very well equipped with 103 fine sand bunkers and also, dense outcrops of brooms, lilacs, ferns and wonderful jennets, which makes the course so attractive and difficult. And, according to the seasons, a symphony of colours and smells awaits you.

"Having this week received your 2009 brochure I must write to thank you for the excellent customer service I received at the time of our trip in response to the recent problems Eurotunnel have been having. I have since relayed my experience to several fellow golfers and all have been equally impressed at this level of service...'A holiday company did that for you!?!?' has not been an uncommen response. Not only can I assure you of my future business but hopefully you will have a few new customers as a result."
