Golf de Montpellier Juvignac
The 18 hole course, was designed by New-Zealander Chris Pittman in 1991. It is typical of the Montpellier hinterland, with a very technical layout, including doglegs and is a real thinking man's course. It has a backdrop of the Garrigue scrubland. It is a course which lends itself particularly well to be played again and again, with new strategies becoming apparent each time. The first 7 holes are reasonably complex: For example, hole N° 4, a dogleg right of 340m on which it is necessary to clear 150m of Garrigue to put yourself in the ideal spot to attack a very raised green with steep slopes either side. With its 18 holes set in typically Mediterranean scenery in the still wild garrigue, the Saint-Thomas golf course has its own particular personality to interest all levels of player. Designed by Patrice Lammbert, the 18 holes vary a great deal and the golfer is faced with real difficulties. The main impression that one is left with is of a place of peace and quiet due to the beautiful setting surrounded by all the different colours of nature. From a technical point of view, while all your golf clubs are necessary to play the course, a successful round also requires intelligence and a solid game.
