Course Information

Just a chip shot from your guest room near Scottsdale at We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center, you’ll find two of the top-rated golf courses in Arizona. The award-winning We-Ko-Pa Golf Club features the 7,225-yard, par-72 Cholla Course and the 6,966-yard, par-71 Saguaro Course, both of which offer stunning views of the surrounding Scottsdale and Sonoran Desert landscape.

One of the most dramatic courses in the Southwest, the Cholla Course extends across desert washes and over ridges, flowing flawlessly into greens tucked into foothills and desert arroyos. Threading through an open expanse overlooking the Verde and Salt River Valleys, Red Mountain and the Superstition Mountains, Cholla is the essence of desert golf.

Chosen the #1 public course in Arizona by Golfweek Magazine, the Saguaro Course was designed by renowned course architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the design team behind highly-regarded courses, including Bandon Trails in Bandon, Oregon, Sand Hills in Mullen, Nebraska, Friar’s Head in Baiting Hollow, New York, The Golf Club at Cuscowilla in Eatonton, Georgia and Barnbougle Lost Farm in Bridport, Tasmania Australia. Incorporating design elements rare to the desert, golf experience, the layout promotes walking as opposed to carts and is similar to older, more traditional courses, where greens are close to tees and the course follows the natural topography of the land. Those who choose to walk the Saguaro course may take advantage of manual speed carts.

Before and after your round, be sure to stop by the We-Ko-Pa Clubhouse, which offers dining at the upscale We-Ko-Pa Grille and an impressive golf shop, named one of America's Best 100 Golf Shops by Golf World Business Magazine. Golfers can also enjoy refreshments from the Saguaro Grille, perfectly situated at the intersection of Saguaro's first, ninth, tenth and eighteenth holes.
