Course InformationFerndown Golf Club is located in beautiful countryside, just a couple of miles north of the seaside town of Bournemouth. There are two courses at Ferndown: the ‘Old Course’ and the ‘President’s course’. The Old Course is an 18-hole course that is kept in immaculate condition all year round. The course is well-known for its prettiness, with an abundance of heather and pine trees and beautiful countryside views.
The hazards at the Old Course are subtle, with well-designed and positioned bunkers. A good score at this course depends completely on keeping the ball in play. The 9-hole President’s Course is a challenging course that requires careful and accurate play in order to avoid natural hazards. The course ends with a testing par three with lots of sand guarding a large green.
Faldo, Langer, Norman, Lyle, Jacklin and a host of other legendary names from the world of golf have all graced the fairways and greens at Ferndown Golf Club since it was established in 1913.
Ferndown Golf Club is ranked in the Top 100 Golf Clubs in Britain & Ireland and has hosted many prestigious tournaments over the years, from The Hennessy Cognac Cup, the European Ladies Championship and the British Ladies Open.
