Golf de Valescure is one of the oldest golf clubs in France, opened in 1895. It is home to a fantastic 18-hole golf course that has strong Mediterranean influences. The course is a par 68 and is just 5,500 yards, so is short compared to today’s standards.
It is surrounded by beautiful pine trees and has small greens and tree-lined fairways. The difficult rough and water hazards also add an element of difficulty to the course and consequently require great accuracy, careful thinking and good club selection to score well.
The signature hole is the 3rd, an attractive hole with a sloping fairway, tricky water hazard and well-protected green. Walk off with a par and you’ll be happy.
Golf de Valescure has hosted several major golfing tournaments over the years from regional events to international events. It is a flat course and short, so suits all levels of golfer and the clubhouse is great fun for a bite after your round before heading back to the pool or beach.
